Biophillic Environments
Developing our Environments
As you may have seen there are more and more plants and trees popping up around school. We are working on Biophillic design, which is the principle of creating environments inspired by nature and natural things.
The reason we're doing this is that nature and natural things have a positive impact on mental health and well being.
We have been lucky enough to have donations of trees from the council, nature inspired furniture from Ikea and we are currently working with Next to create some wall murals.
Our playground plans are being developed to create a natural themed play area and we are continuing to develop our classrooms and outdoor areas to ensure our pupils and staff work alongside nature.
